A Canton-University of Akron Transit Line The area sits active with a few nearby industrial and commercial buildings, but the SW side of Canton has been neglected in new construction. What could a large scale project look like to help the area?
Akron's Hibernating Rubber Line: Real Opportunity Akron's Main St. has been mauled on the northern and southern ends; both separated from downtown by infrastructure that cleaved through our neighborhoods. This would encourage new transit oriented development. What stops us from achieving this? Only "political will"?
Goodyear East End: The Akron Terminal of the Future. The East End has seen some strong improvement over the last decade. A few eateries, some small shops, a theater, and some additional retail space available. We are more interested about what lies behind it:
Akron Innerbelt: An Incomplete Insult It wasn't supposed to be this way. It was originally going to connect all the way down to US-224 and even the cut down version we got was expecting 100,000+ daily drivers. We instead had ~18,000 daily drivers by mid-2000s.
